3D printing Molding Project Improves Efficiency, Increases Volume

A plastic mold injection machine shop is using 3D printing to improve efficiency with a molding project that has increased volume. Previously, the company had plans to make an aluminum version, but opted instead to design a hand-held, multi-part insert tool for the shop floor. The machine shop did not believe they could print real tools that would work on the shop floor. However, they now have a 3D printed solution that will give them the ability to increase their capacity with very little cost.
