Here in Michigan, the stakes are high for manufacturers to adopt Industry 4.0 technologies, as manufacturing accounts for nearly 20% of our state’s total output, employing nearly 15% of the workforce. In order for Michigan manufacturers to remain globally competitive, companies must begin to ramp up Industry 4.0 adoption. That is why Automation Alley has partnered with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation on a state-wide effort to ensure 50% of Michigan manufacturers – or 6,200 businesses – are prepared to adopt Industry 4.0 technologies at some level by 2025.
