Ann Arbor-based Autaza uses its funding from the Automation Alley Industry 4.0 accelerator to adopt a new approach to Quality Assurance.
A recent article in Crain's Detroit Business highlighted Autaza, a tech services start-up out of Ann Arbor, MI. Their innovative approach uses cameras and an artificial intelligence system to identify various quality issues in automotive and beyond. Autaza received their funding from the Automation Alley Industry 4.0 Accelerator - a combined effort from Automation Alley, Lean Rocket Lab, and Lawrence Technological University's Centrepolis Accelerator.
Quality assurance is often the unsung hero in the manufacturing process, eliminating mistakes and not only minimizing loss, but helping to identify processing errors as well. However, QA work can be taxing; human inspections are time consuming and monotonous. Autaza's efforts exemplify the ability to use Industry 4.0 technologies to cut cost and improve productivity.
As we move into the next generation of manufacturing, Autaza will be a company to watch.
